Give It All
For the one
who is left
holding pieces
you never thought
you would be
and that
you don’t know
what to do with.
Pieces that are
jagged,
awkward,
painfully heavy
or unwanted.
Oh precious one,
from one
who was left
to carry pieces
of her own,
the best advice
I can give you
is to tell you to
give it all
to Jesus.
How? – you may ask.
Over and over again.
As often as it takes.
Through tears.
Through anger.
Through clenched fists.
Through regret, confession, and repentance.
Through long nights.
Through worship.
Through and through.
Just keep on
giving it all
to Jesus.
In time,
(or maybe
in a moment’s time)
God will either
take it all
or He will
come alongside you
helping you
to carry it.
Either way,
He will
hear your cry
and answer.
How do I know? – you may ask.
Because
when I
gave it all
to Jesus,
The One
who saw me
trying to
carry it all
began
to carry me.
Why not let Him carry you, too?
