True Love
For the one
burnt out
on religion.
A relationship
with Jesus
isn’t the same thing
as doing
“all the religious things”
so you will be
right with God.
A relationship
with Jesus
begins with knowing
He loves you
and He gave
His very life
to save you.
If you believe
in His death
and resurrection,
you are already
made right with God.
Nothing you can do
will make God love you less.
Nothing you can do
will make God love you more.
We love God
because
He first
loved us.
And,
because
we love Him,
we desire to spend time with Him.
We delight in reading His Word.
We long to be His hands and feet to a world in need.
We aspire to live like Him.
Not to
check off the boxes.
Not to get in
God’s “good graces”,
but because
out of the
overflow
of His grace
we long
to do good.
When we follow Jesus
from a place of true love,
our love for Him
fuels our passion.
Instead of burnt out,
our heart becomes
set ablaze
with true love for our Savior.
