Be You
The enemy
of your soul
will stop at nothing
to steal,
to kill,
and to destroy
your life.
Nothing.
And to do it,
he will try
to convince you
you would be
so much
happier if only
you were
someone different
than who
God created
you to be.
And he will
make it seem
like this is
truly what
is best
for you –
what is missing
in your life –
what would
bring you joy
and make
everything –
e v e r y t h i n g
so much better.
And he’ll
try and
convince you
of this
not because
he loves you
and not because
he cares about you,
but because
he only cares
about himself
and taking
you down with him.
Any way he can.
No matter what.
But,
there is
a God in Heaven
who loves you,
who created you
on purpose,
with purpose,
for a purpose –
who created you
the way you are –
male or female –
for a specific reason,
out of intentionality,
out of immense love,
because
He does care for you,
He does love you.
You bring Him joy.
This is why He
created you
in the first place.
He,
the Creator,
knows better
than anyone –
even. yourself.
who you were
created to be.
And who you
were created to be
is someone
of immeasurable worth,
of significant purpose,
of invaluable dignity.
And I know
the voice of
the enemy and
the voices of
the world
can become
so loud and
so in our face
that sometimes
our own voice
and the voice
of our Creator
can get lost
in all the confusion.
But,
it. is. so. simple.
It truly is.
You are a
work of art
that is a work
of God’s heart.
You were
personally
handcrafted
by God.
He knew
what He
was doing
when He
created you.
Trust His design.
Trust His choice.
Trust His artistry
in designing
every aspect
of who you are.
Your hair color.
Your skin color.
Your height.
Your gender.
This is all
what makes you
uniquely you
and exactly
who God created
you to be.
And who you are
is someone
deeply loved
by your Creator.
Who you are
is someone
unlike anyone else
but exactly
who God
designed you
to be.
Your greatest joy
won’t be found
in trying to be
or in trying to become
someone different.
Your greatest joy
will be found
in embracing
who God created
you to be.
To step into
all you are
and all you
bring to the world.
God doesn’t
make mistakes,
precious one.
And that is
exactly who
you are –
one who is
so precious
in the eyes of God –
just the way you are.
The more you
believe that
the more precious
you will become
in your own eyes.
Who you are
is a gift
to the world.
Be who God
