Rest in Who I AM

Uninvited.

Unrelenting.

Unending.

 

The enemy is here.

 

Taunting,

reminding,

accusing,

condemning,

rolling his eyes in disgust.

 

Weary from trudging through

the sand of self-reliance,

I grow weary,

and tired.

 

So very tired.

 

I long to give up.

 

I reach for the towel

and just as I am about

to toss it in,

the Savior is here.

 

Forgiving,

uplifting,

sustaining,

applauding with words of truth.

 

You are Mine.

 

I love you.

 

I delight over you with singing.

 

I have begun

a good work in you

and I will be faithful

to complete it.

 

Rest, my child.

 

Rest in me.

 

Rest in who I AM.

 

I am enough.

 

I am God.
