There Is A God Who Knows
Sometimes,
most times in fact,
what we see
on the surface level
isn’t always
all there is
to see.
Our eyes –
especially the eyes
of our heart –
can deceive us.
In a world
where the art
of deception
is a fine-crafted tool
wielded to
persuade for
personal gain,
to manipulate
and malign,
to swing the pendulum
and create momentum,
to pit me against you
and you against me,
we can’t afford
to rely on
human sight,
human emotion,
human intellect,
human deduction.
Only God Almighty
knows
what is at play
behind the scenes.
Only God Almighty
knows
the strategies
and the strings
being pulled.
Only God Almighty
knows
the true intent of
a human heart.
For us to
somehow know, too –
it’s going to take
more time, energy
and effort
than simply
seeing
and reacting.
It’s going to take
s e e k i n g.
Seeking
to truly know
the God
who knows.
Seeking
to truly hear
God’s voice
and God’s voice alone
in the chorus
of human opinions.
Seeking
to see
God’s hand
and God’s hand alone
in the human
manhandling
of all that
concerns you
and concerns me.
Seeking
to discern
God’s will
and God’s will alone in
our responses,
our reactions,
our decisions.
Seeking
to trust
God’s sovereignity
and God’s sovereignity alone
in and through
it all.
Simply put –
we don’t
see it all,
we don’t know
what is happening.
Only God knows.
Our knowing
will only
be made known
in our seeking
of God
and knowing Him.
Don’t look
to the world;
look to the
Creator of the world.
Don’t look
to man:
look to the
Creator of man.
Sometimes,
most times in fact,
what we see
on the surface level
isn’t always
all there is
to see.
There is
a God
who sees.
There is
a God
who knows –
Yahweh.
Look to Him.~
