A Hurting Heart
Every day,
all day long –
God provides
opportunities
for you and I
to make a difference
in the world around us.
Every where
and any place –
God can strategically
orchestrate
all the details
to have you and I
exactly where
we need to be
to be an instrument
of His love.
May we
never become
so distracted,
so preoccupied,
so caught up
in our own life
that we fail
to see into
the lives
of those around us.
May we
never become
so content,
so comfortable,
so cozy
in our own living
that we fail
to be shaken by
the discontent,
the discomfort,
the anything but cozy
existence of those we
pass on the street,
stand next to in a grocery line,
sit beside in a waiting room,
live beside in our neighborhood.
God has you
right where you are
for a reason.
God has you
uniquely positioned
to encourage,
to uplift,
to help,
to teach,
to guide,
to listen to,
to provide for,
to come alongside
a hurting heart.
If you are
paying attention
and if you are
willing,
God can use you
to be the answer
to someone’s prayer.
If you are
looking out
for others
and not so focused
on yourself,
God can use you
to cause others
to look up
and to focus on Him.
How does God long
to use you today?
Ask Him.
He will show you.
And then,
as you walk
in obedience,
He will empower you,
He will embolden you,
He will strengthen you,
He will direct you,
He will work
in you and through you.
And others
will be blessed.
And lives
will be changed.
And God
will be glorified.
And you –
you will
experience
life and life abundant
as you live your life
to please Your Father
and to bless others.
Go, precious one.
Go in the
love, power
and grace
of God.
