A Back to School Prayer
Gracious Heavenly Father,
Be with Your
precious children, Lord.
All those who are
stepping back
into classrooms
and forward
into another
year of learning.
Protect them
and keep them safe
physically,
mentally,
emotionally,
and spiritually.
Place around them
those who will
speak life,
speak hope,
speak truth,
speak love.
Guard their minds
from anything
that is not of You.
Keep them
ever aspiring
to learn,
to grow,
to attempt and try,
to reach for
all You have
created them for.
Bless them
with wisdom
to choose best,
with self-control
to react best,
with love
to respond best.
May they
always know
they matter,
they count,
they are priceless
in Your eyes.
Help them to
be a light,
be a friend,
be a representative
of You.
Most of all,
Father God –
grow them up
with a saving
knowledge of You.
